WHAT DO YOU NEED?
Good news! There really isn't much needed to be able to start learning music production. A laptop and a pair of headphones is all you need to be able to start learning and creating music.
All Apple computers come with free access to GarageBand which is a DAW that allows you to record and produce music. For PCs there are a couple options for free DAW software such as Cakewalk and Waveform. I'm here to help, so please reach out if you have any questions about what software you need. I can also help assist with getting things set up during the first lesson if needed.
Here are links to the available free DAWs:

If you are wanting to learn how to record your own vocals, guitar, or other live instruments, you may want to invest in an audio interface and microphone to be able to record yourself at home.
Another thing to consider investing in is a MIDI keyboard. This can help you find musical ideas in a more natural feeling way, rather than clicking in notes with a mouse. And don't worry if you don't know how to play piano! It's a great tool to have that I'd highly recommend to help improve your creative process no matter your skill level.
Below are my recommendations for great beginner equipment to get you started:
Want to step things up a bit? I'd go for these.
